| congrats brett on making ncaa's on high bar!!!!!!
the zwan show and visiting bloomington/normal was great... claire and I are going to see them play again at Northwestern tomorrow
speaking of Northwestern- I got my rejection letter from them on Saturday, as well as one from Tulane on Monday.
Those are the only 2 schools that have flat out rejected me. I applied to 12 schools, got in everywhere besides those 2 and Wisconsin, where I was deferred then rejected. I guess 9 for 12 isn't something to complain about. It's funny that I want to go to Iowa too, because it was the first school I got into and they accepted me before they even received my SAT when I took it again. I think it was pointless for me to have retaken it, I went from a 1270 to 1400 and it really didn't matter much for most of my schools because they would have taken me (or did take me) with the first score. oh well
| haven't updated in awhile... I've been up to basically the same things though- school, track, going out, drinking, concerts, and watching sports because I'm a dork like that.
To sum the last few days up quickly... we all got called out on Friday so we went out Thursday & Friday nights to kick off spring break, Bulls had a terrible loss by 51 points, Kentucky got knocked out during elite 8 rounds (we watched the game while we were eating pizza at Gino's North before the Guster show, which was also goodtimes), SYRACUSE destroyed Oklahoma- so all of you that laughed at me for putting them in my final four picks can just bite the bullet now . Went to see some local bands play last night, about to watch the Cubs/Mets game right now, going to track practice (yes, we have it everyday this week) and then driving to Illinois State University with Claire to see Zwan & Queens of the Stone age and to visit Ben at ISU and Nick at Illinois Wesleyan. Hope everyone is having a good spring break.
| It was so nice outside today, and it was our first track practice outdoors, which was nice. It was seriously perfect weather.
WE'RE NOT GOING TO TOP TIMES The top 10 in the State in each track event run in the Top Times Invitational (it's almost like an indoor state meet), and our 4x400 is 3rd in the state right now. The meet is this Saturday, but Coach Orig's wedding is the same day and all of the coaches are going to that, so we're not going to the meet. Oh well.
| OUR TEAM WON CONFERENCE!!! My relay got 4th, but we were only one second away from breaking the school record.
On Saturday night I broke my 8 week streak of not drinking, none of you thought I could go that long. I don't think I'll be able to be quite as behaved on Saturdays during outdoor season or during Spring Break (especially since I'll be here in Hinsdale).
| I'm at home right now. Auburn/St. Joe's game= the best game in first round so far. My mistakes so far are Central Michigan, Gonzaga, and Dayton. The Dayton loss will hurt me, I had them going to the third round.
Pasta Party tonight at Yochim's, then the conference track meet tomorrow.
